Back 36th District Office Offers Extended Hours
New schedule offers increased
access for constituents
LITITZ – The district office for the 36th Senatorial District
will be offering extended hours to ensure that all constituents are able to
access the services they need, state Senator Mike Brubaker said.
The office, located at 301 E. Main Street in Lititz, is normally
open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but will now remain open until
8 p.m. every Tuesday. In addition, constituents can drop by the office from 9
a.m. to noon on the first Saturday of each month, beginning October 6.
"I realize that there are many people who work or have other
obligations that prevent them from being able to come to the district office
during regular hours," Brubaker said. "Therefore, I wanted to make sure that
those individuals had other options available to them which would still enable
them to receive the assistance they need."
Brubaker said that he has also arranged several possible meeting
locations in local municipal buildings for those who may have difficulties that
prohibit them from making the trip to the Lititz office. These locations
include:
- Christiana Borough building, 10 W. Slokom Avenue,
Christiana
- East Hempfield Township building, 1700 Nissley Road,
Landisville
- Ephrata Township building, 265 Akron Road, Ephrata
- Honey Brook Township building, 495 Suplee Road, Honey
Brook
- Leacock Township building, 3545 W. Newport Road,
Intercourse
- Mount Joy Borough building, 21 E. Main Street, Mount
Joy
- Terre Hill Borough building, 300 Broad Street, Terre
Hill
However, constituents should be aware that it may take longer to
get an appointment at one of the regional locations than at the Lititz office
depending on the availability of the Senator or staff, as well as that of the
preferred meeting location.
The 36th District office in Lititz can be reached by calling
717-627-0036, or toll-free at 866-738-1601. Constituents can also e-mail
questions and comments to Senator Brubaker at
mbrubaker@pasen.gov.
"It is very important to me that the residents of the 36th
District be able to easily reach their elected representative to share their
thoughts, pick up applications or brochures, and receive help with other state
government issues," Brubaker said. "I encourage everyone to come visit their
district office, and I look forward to working with constituents on the issues
that are important to them."
