For Immediate Release State Legislators Invited to Participate in 2008 Farm ShowFirst time for booth space to be set up during eight-day event The Pennsylvania Farm Products Show Commission has made new booth space available to Pennsylvania legislators during the 2008 Farm Show, Senate Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee Chairman Mike Brubaker (R-Lancaster) said today. The booth will be located in Exposition Hall, which also houses the Food Court, the renewable energy display, the FFA technology display, farm equipment and historic memorabilia and artifacts. Interested legislators will be scheduled at various times throughout the eight-day Farm Show. "I want to thank the Commission for offering this opportunity to state legislators so that they can meet constituents who may be visiting and greet other passersby," Brubaker said, noting that the Farm Show attracts more than 400,000 visitors each year. Brubaker will be at the booth on Tuesday, January 8, 12 p.m.-2 p.m.; Thursday, January 10, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.; and Friday, January 11, 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. (subject to change). "I encourage all Commonwealth citizens to come to the Farm Show Complex and enjoy this annual showcase of Pennsylvania agriculture and our rural communities," Brubaker said. "There are many activities, demonstrations and displays that appeal to individuals of all ages, and of course, a taste of Farm Show food is always worth a visit." The 2008 Pennsylvania Farm Show runs from January 5 through January 12.
