Brubaker to Host Unemployment Seminar for Local Residents
HARRISBURG - Sen. Mike Brubaker (R-36) will host a seminar
to help district residents cope with unemployment on Wednesday, January 13 from
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ephrata Recreation Center.
The seminar will include information from state and local
agencies to help individuals handle the financial difficulties of unemployment
and learn more about the best ways to find a new job. Consumer protection
advocates will also be available to offer advice on how to avoid employment
scams and identity theft.
"It is important for job-seekers to use every resource
available to get back on the road to financial security," Brubaker said. "I am
very hopeful that the information offered at this seminar will help district
residents to find safe, stable employment opportunities in the area."
The seminar will include representatives from the
Pennsylvania Department of Labor, PA CareerLink, the Lancaster County Assistance
Office, the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office and the Lancaster County Bar
Association.
More information on the seminar is available by calling
Brubaker's district office at (717) 627-0036. |
