For Immediate Release Brubaker Statement on Budget HearingsHARRISBURG – Sen. Mike Brubaker (R-36) issued the following statement today regarding the Senate Appropriations Committee's upcoming series of budget hearings on Governor Rendell's 2010-11 budget proposal: "The Senate Appropriations Committee is given an opportunity each year to question members of the Administration on the spending priorities and proposals in the governor's budget proposal. As a member of this committee, I am inviting all district residents to offer questions and voice their concerns on various parts of the state budget to ensure that we address the most vital issues for the individuals, businesses and communities in our local communities. "Each Senator on the Appropriations Committee is given a limited amount of time for questions, and I cannot guarantee that every question that is submitted will be addressed during the hearings. However, I will seek to address as many of these issues as possible with the time I am allotted. In some cases I will combine similar questions/input into one question." 36th Senatorial District residents who are interested in submitting a question on any state issue or agency can do so by clicking HERE and completing the form. | |
